Bought the Tetra Control 2 and 2 12v1's. Great color options and super easy to set up. I feel pro now. It's especially ideal for anyone looking to have quick and easy control over lighting during events or performances. I'll be grabbing a few add-on products. Overall, a solid product that delivers on its promises!

The Venue Tetra Control 2 has made programming and controlling my lighting setup incredibly straightforward. The layout is intuitive, making it easy to dial in scenes and effects without a steep learning curve (there is some menu diving at first, though). Pairing it with VenueLink-compatible lights streamlined my workflow, making it a great option for small to mid-sized productions.

I use this for events I put on in my back yard during the summertime. Set up was easy, especially with the wireless dongles you can buy now for Venue gear. There's a little bit of menu diving required, but it's pretty straight forward and is easy once you get used to it. Love the form factor on this thing, those big DMX control boards are kind of intimidating.

Venue Tetra Controller 2 works perfect for me, I purchased the controller, 4 Tetra 6vi lights and 1 Venue Link to wireless connect to all 4 lights. The All On or Preset Fades work great, easy to set up and finally no more DMX cables. I play bass so with this mounted on my mic stand I can change effects. Lights are very durable, not plastic and seem as if they can handle used for different gigs every weekend.

The Tetra 2 is a more advanced version of the Tetra 1 that can operate the Venue moving lights and has wireless capabilities. Pairing the Tetra VI or VP lights is best because you can operate the lights without a long DMX cable from the FOH Sound station or wherever. The moving chases are interesting and its very easy to create a unique light design for your stage that you can operate from any position of the band. That's what I do since its expensive and difficult to find/hire LD's with gear for an interesting performance. This is great for any band/musician/dj that sets up at craft breweries, small clubs/venues that don't have any stage lighting and are looking for an out-of-the-box creative lighting design option that is not a GigBar. The Venue light system has a way more dynamic light program with color moods (combinations of colors), not just single color schemes. Between the multitude of light chases, color moods, moving chases, strobe patterns, and wireless connectivity, pairing individual wash lights of varying sizes, moving lights and light bars, this has to be the most innovative and dynamic, accessible light rig on the market. Get creative and try it!!

Can more than the allotted amount of lights be used if they are addressed the same? In other words, 8 pars, 4 on each side mirrored with 1 on each side addressed the same? I'd like to have 8 wash, and 4 heads to mirror sides.

How to Make It Work: Assign Addresses Accordingly: PAR 1 (left) and PAR 5 (right): Address 001 PAR 2 and PAR 6: Address 017 (assuming 16-channel fixtures) And so on for all 8 PARs using 4 addresses total. Similarly, assign each moving head pair to the same address: Head 1 (left) and Head 3 (right): Address 065 Head 2 and Head 4: Address 081 (or next free slot) In the Tetra: Program scenes and chases using only 4 wash fixture slots and 2 head fixture slots. Each fixture button will actually control two physical lights mirrored. Benefits: You can run a full mirrored setup with fewer fixture slots. Great for symmetrical designs and simplified programming. Caveats: You lose individual control of each fixture in a mirrored pair. If you ever want independent control (e.g., left red / right blue), this setup won’t allow it. Summary: Yes, you can double or triple your physical fixture count by mirroring DMX addresses. Just remember: mirrored address = mirrored behavior. You control them as one.

If I run a signal from my guitar rig into the AUX input, will lights turn on when I hit a string? I play rhythmically choppy metal music and want lights to accentuate the choppy patterns.

No, simply running a guitar signal into the AUX input of the Venue Tetra Control 2 Intuitive DMX Controller will not automatically cause lights to turn on in sync with your playing. The AUX input is not an audio trigger in the traditional sense—it's not designed to analyze complex rhythmic audio and create light cues accordingly.

Yes, you can use the Venue Tetra Control 2 to operate three fog machines, as long as the fog machines are: DMX-compatible, and Each equipped with a Venue wireless DMX transceiver (like the Venue D-Fi transceiver, or whatever model they provide that matches the Tetra Control 2's wireless output)..

I currently have the Tetra Control 1 and utilize wireless DMX via Chauvet D-Fi XLR. Will the Tetra 2 Controller broadcast DMX signal and the VI link simultaneously so that I can keep the lighting I already have, and add VI by adding Venue VI Lights to my setup?
