Bought this mallet to play cymbal swells. Works quite well, and well made.

I primarily use this mallet for orchestral pieces. It is fairly soft and delivers nice sustained rolls and individual strikes of the mallet to the cymbal cannot be heard. For the price this is a great deal. The shafts themselves are lightweight enough, especially compared to similar mallets from Zildjian and other brands. They feel nice in the hands and give me what I need for a variety of orchestra applications.
