Colin McNutt's signature sticks are often among my favorites. But I recently got a pair from here that are just awful. I don't know if it's the wood or what, but the sticks are dead. No rebound, they feel like complete duds whenever they hit the head. They also do not sound right. I honestly do not know what is wrong with the pair, but it is bad. They will find themselves in the firepit soon.

  • Horrible pitching.

While I would love to say these were great, they were not. They were the worst pair of sticks I have touched in my near 8 years of drumming. I bought them online as a gift, since the stores near me did not stock them. They sounded horrible on arrival. The pitches between sticks are nearly a major third off from each other. They felt incredibly light and cheap. And to top off the horrible pair, one had that tell tale sound of being cracked. It was a disappointment and near embarrassment to be coming from such a respected brand.

By far these are my favorite sticks to march with, not as sturdy as sticks like the magnums or the mike jacksons, however they give a bit more control and provide and emphasis on technique

  • Excellent for freshmen and advanced players

I just got these sticks a few minutes ago and I started playin them on my pad and they feel amazing they are lighter than my Ralph hardimons and the bead gives a nice articulation. I then taped the sticks to how my highschool would rap them and they still felt great just a little weight added from the tape but over good stick and would totally recommend to my drumline and others.
