Good starter system when you're tired of toys

We bought this rather than buying *really cheap* (glorified toy) system off of Amazon. My wife had two criteria: 1) Wireless microphone 2) Two of them My criterium was "Not a kids' toy." This unit fit both, although I did have to sell her on the higher price. The unit is hooked to our smart TV via the provided digital optical cable. The sound from the TV is perfect. The microphones are adequate. They aren't studio quality, but I didn't expect them to be. The sound output is more than enough that I could get complaints from our neighbors. (We live in an apartment.) Pros: Easy setup and operation Main unit is powered by AC adapter Microphones use regular batteries Good sound quality Cons: Input reverts to Bluetooth on power up Does not auto detect active input We did try the Bluetooth, and it works well. We have not experienced any mic dropouts, but since they are 2.4Ghz range, so both WiFi and microwave ovens could interfere with them.
Good Luck trying to sync mircorphones

was unable to sync microphones to unit. Brought back to store and the staff ( who were super helpful) were unable to sync as well. In addition, we tried a new unit but still unable to connect. Also the online manual is different from the printed one that comes in box. Returned it

I have now had this system approaching three years. I love it's portability and am now regularly asked to bring the karaoke when I visit friends for a night in. It's easy to use and has great sound. It has basic echo function and volume buttons on the mics and easily can connect via Bluetooth to your capable tv if you desire or your iPad/tablet. I use mine most often with the YouTube app on my AppleTV and find no need to connect to it thru Bluetooth because my tv sound system is fine for the music audio and then will just have the vocals come thru the vocopro. If you are using a tablet or phone for your music, the Bluetooth to the speaker is fantastic for all the audio. The mics do sometimes drop the Bluetooth signal from time to time but only momentarily and not frequently. If I were using this professionally, I can see needing assured reliability and this being problematic…but because I use this for at home entertainment with my friends and family, it's really not a big issue. It's a solid Huzzah from me! If I could make one change, it would be that the speaker have a rechargeable battery option along with the ac power supply to make the most out of its already fantastic portability…'cause who wouldn't love to do backyard karaoke without having to drag out an extension cord? Still…10/10 in my opinion.

The set up was easy! We used the booth set first. It worked perfectly. I didn't have any drops. The sound was fine for our family room. If you want it to be louder though, you will need to run through a sound system that you're tv is connected too.

I was looking for a home Karaoke set up to play with my older kids and friends. Believe me! I searched all the options. The Voco-Pro Karaoke Dual does not disappoint! It's got decent volume and two wireless mics. These aren't pro level mics, but they are weighty and come with some effects. They work really great together and the set up is quick.

You play cd's in this model? Does it have key control?
Yes — you can play CDs in this model. The KaraokeDual-Plus includes a built-in CD/CDG player, allowing you to play standard CD karaoke discs—and it also supports MP3 playback over Bluetooth, USB, aux, or optical connections. However, it does not offer pitch/key control.submitted6 months ago
