VOX Custom Series AC15C1, AC30C2,

Description
VOX's AC15C1X 15W 1x12 tube guitar combo amp brings coveted vintage-inspired tone to life through premium components and intuitive controls. This 15W tube amp features two channels—normal and top boost—to produce a range of tones from shimmering clean to saturated overdrive. Guitarists can shape their signature sound using the treble, bass, tone cut, reverb and tremolo controls. At the heart of the AC15C1X are three 12AX7 preamp tubes, two EL84 power tubes and a Celestion Blue speaker, which provide the authentic tone that VOX is known for.
Two Channels for a Spectrum of Tones
The normal channel offers a traditional clean tone with chimey highs and tight lows. Engaging the top boost channel unleashes a fuller tone with more gain and midrange punch—perfect for classic rock and blues. Between these two channels, guitarists can find the ideal tone for any genre or playing style.
Premium Components for Legendary Tone
The AC15C1X owes its vintage-inspired tone to premium components like three 12AX7 preamp tubes, two EL84 power tubes and a Celestion Blue speaker. The 12AX7 preamp tubes add warmth and compression and the EL84 power tubes produce 15 watts of power for headroom and overdrive. While the Celestion Blue speaker delivers the chime and midrange that VOX amps are known for.
Shape Your Sound With Intuitive Controls
Once guitarists select a channel, they can use the treble, bass, tone cut, reverb and tremolo controls to craft their signature tone. The treble and bass knobs adjust the high and low frequencies. The tone cut control shapes the midrange, reverb adds spaciousness and tremolo produces a pulsing effect. With these controls, guitarists can transform the AC15C1X into their perfect amp.
Versatile and Portable
Despite its all-tube design and premium components, the AC15C1X is compact and portable. It features an 8/16-ohm output jack for connecting to external speakers and a second extension speaker jack for linking another cabinet. When used alone, the AC15C1X's single 12" Celestion Blue speaker provides enough volume for rehearsals and small venues. For larger shows, the extension jacks make it easy to increase the amp's projection. Overall, the AC15C1X offers vintage tone and versatility in a portable package.

This is for the blue speaker AC15. I've never owned a Vox before so I took a chance on it. Great sound, it's a loud 15 watts, we have a loud drummer but this keeps up and will have no issues at gigs that are mic'd up. Really cuts through the mix, cleans are surprisingly excellent, but this thing really shines cranked up. We play mostly rock music but I imagine it could handle any genre. The alnico blue speaker is a must for me, I tried the greenback (it's good) just not my thing, the blue is louder, clearer, and more articulate. The only drawback to this, is that it's still a bit heavy for a 1x12, other than that I only have a great things to say about this amp and highly recommend it.
I would buy again. A go to amp.

Top Boost classic channel, but don't overlook the easy use of Normal channel. Blue speaker is worth the bucks if you got it.
Awesome VOX sound!

Wow, I can't believe I waited this long to purchase this amp. I've had the amp going on two years, gigging and recording. This model with the "Bluey" speaker is a must for clean tones. It takes pedals extremely well, no need for multi channels. My Tele with single coils sound excellent, my double-cut Matsumoku hollowbody with Gretschy pickups is tone heaven, my Les Paul just sounds awesome through this amp! There is no need for me to look further. I wasted so much money on other amp brands, but this amp gives me the tones I've been craving for years.
If you want that classic rock blues sound... Here it is

Absolutely beautiful sounding amp! Beautiful clean tones that sound like a bell being rung. It has this gritty overdrive distortion that sounds exactly like the intro to my generation with it all the way turned up. The one thing about this amp though... This isn't your typical amplifier. It does not have a full EQ. You get bass and eyes... That's it. Vox has this idea that if you are buying a Vox amp, Then you are buying it for those beautiful clean British tones. Do you want distortion? Then you're going to need a peddle ... But I'm telling you, the distortion pedal through a beautiful clean clear sounding amp like this is absolutely amazing! I use this for recording guitar sounds through a sure 57 microphone and it is second to none the very best amplifier I have heard at loud volumes. However this amp is a very Music specific amp. If you're going to have a repertoire of music that you were going to be playing, you are absolutely going to need a distortion pedal and an effects board! Keep in mind that there's also no line out on this amp... And no headphone out Jack... This thing is made for one purpose and one purpose only... And that is To be played very loudly. Both your clean and distortion channels have distorted tones in them with the volume past five. So there might be some times where you have to turn the volume down on your guitar... Again, in the studio this isn't a big deal. But live this is going to take some getting used to. Not a big enough deal to doc any points off but needed to be said compared to its competition
