Wampler Pantheon Overdrive, King of the Bluesbreaker based pedals?

Description
The Pantheon has a special kind of tone that we describe as chewy yet crunchy and it sounds great into both dirty and clean amps. It’s VERY touch sensitive, much like you’d find when playing an amp that’s breaking up. As always, Brian Wampler has created a meticulously tweaked EQ stack to give the player the control they demand and have come to expect from any Wampler pedal. The perfect fat bass, and the perfect level of chime - it’s all here; it can be added, it can be taken away. The Pantheon is the perfect way to add just the right amount of expressive dirt to your sound without losing any of what makes the player, simply… them.
The Pantheon features three levels of gain saturation to go from just breaking up to all-out dirt, a second toggle switch going from classic BluesBreaker configuration to a clipping texture closely resembling what you’d find on the mythical KOT style pedals, and a presence control that’s on the front and not hidden away inside. Shaping the tone of the most coveted “BB” style pedal has never been easier.
Tonal Control
As with every Wampler, Brian has taken the time to make sure all the EQ stacks and gain options work together perfectly. With the 3 levels of gain and the 3 different overdrive voicings, you can find almost every BB tone in this one pedal. The Pantheon retains the clean simplicity of layout that our pedals are known for – you won’t have to spend days studying a manual to get the best from the clean and uncluttered layout. Any player that gets their hands on this pedal will get lost in its versatility, the control, the tone… it’s one of those pedals that takes the player on the kind of journey into gain that we’ve all dreamed about. Once they get to the other side, their rig will sound better than ever before and mark a new era of tonal perfection.
Why the Pantheon?
There can be little doubt that this kind of circuit has been one of the most popular pedals to have ever been made - as indicated by the nearly two year waiting list on the King of the BB clones. Brian dug deep down into the original, and then into all those that came after, listening to what makes each special and what made those magical ones truly a joy to play. Once he had finished painstakingly analyzing the aspects that were present in the best versions of this circuit, he was able to pour everything he had learned into one single perfect pedal. The Wampler Pantheon. This is the king of transparent tone style circuit you and your customers have been waiting for.

Thia pedal will bit disappoint if you are looking for an OD/Dist pedal. The presence knob is a plus! And also top mounted jacks are a good thing for pedals. All manufacturers should follow the same setup as it will save a lot of blard space.

Great for pushing my Marshall Origin 50 to breakup at low volume. Sounds great.
It's so versatile, I want 4 of them on my board!

It's really incredible what Brian has been able to do with his drive pedals! This takes on a classic BB style drive pedal, and then he throws 2 more levels of gain circuitry and 3 clipping modes. There's just such a range to this thing, it's unreal. It's made for stacking, so my next pedal with be the Tumnus Deluxe which is deserveibly hyped when the two are stacked together.
Seriously Transparent OD

I have played for thirty-plus years but really never started seriously chasing tone until the last five or so. In that time, I have been looking for a transparent overdrive pedal. A lot of them made claims that I found to be less than true, at least by my definition. I want an OD that leaves the EQ profile of the guitar and amp that I am playing as close as possible to what they are with the OD off. There are many pedals (and clones thereof) out there that claim to do this but I have been less than satisfied with most of them, at least the ones I could afford. A few months back, I started hearing about clones of the original BB pedal that I remembered coming out in the late '80s. The most popular was out of my price range (aside from having a two year waiting list) so I started researching the Pantheon. I liked what I found in the reviews and videos I watched so I started looking and found one here at MF on an open-box special. I am happy with my drive pedal for the first time in years. It has all the gain you could ever need for anything short of hardcore metal styles. It has a responsive tone stack and presence control that make it easily adjustable to multiple guitars. In addition, there is a dipswitch for gain level and clipping style. Miraculously, all of these are accessible from the front of the pedal. This is a major peeve of mine. I have had other pedals where there were switches and trim pots that were only accessible with the back removed. That's ridiculous. I ended up drilling holes in the back cover and keeping a tiny screwdriver handy but that is, at best, a crummy solution. I have only two negatives. The clipping switch has three selections: soft, hard, and a combination thereof. I would have liked a no clipping setting. Aside from that, as listed in the con section, this pedal is so versatile it can be overwhelming if not approached in a very organized fashion.
