Washburn

collapse expand iconDescription

The B8K-A Americana banjo pack from Washburn offers a combination of tone and value to anyone looking to for a versatile banjo. The pack is centered around the B8K-A resonator banjo, constructed entirely from mahogany to deliver both the volume and projection to reach an entire audience in any environment. Whether you’re playing for yourself or a whole crowd, you’ll love the crisp, dry tone produced by an authentic Remo top, along with the detailed articulation provided by an ebony-tipped maple bridge. The banjo pack also comes with a gig bag, pitch pipe, picks, an instructional book and banjo strap to round out the B8K-A resonator.

Pick Up and Play

The B8K-A 5-string banjo is designed to be played comfortably by all ages and skill levels. A mahogany neck lends itself to smooth playability, while a rosewood fretboard and die-cast chrome tuners provide stable tuning. A convenient chrome-plated armrest provides additional support.

Classical Banjo Tones

The Washburn B8K-A 5-string banjo elicits the traditional bluegrass sound you’d expect from a company with over 200 years of crafting experience. On the B8K-A resonator, an aluminum tone ring enhances the brightness as well as the clarity, giving any player the confidence to get picking right away.

I am totally new to the banjo and decided to go with this as a starter and I am not disappointed. This banjo is perfect for me; it is loud and sounds good. Doesn't feel like a piece of junk. I did have to YouTube how to put the bridge in it is shipped laying flat but it was very easy. Only thing I don't like are the plastic finger picks that come with it I broke one in two days. Other than that I love it!
