Washburn

collapse expand iconDescription

The Washburn Bella Tono Allure Elite is the flagship offering of the series. The Bella Tono Alure Elite pulls out all the stops featuring a solid spruce top and stunning acacia back and sides. It’s also got a cutaway body design for easy access to the upper frets, and the soundboard is adorned with abalone for both the rosette and purfling, and has maple binding. The ebony fingerboard continues with the lush appointments, depicting a beach island scene of a palm tree and birds in flight inlaid in exquisite abalone and turquoise.

The Washburn Studio body design makes for an incredibly comfortable playing experience while managing to maintain the tight lows, focused mids and clear highs commonly associated with larger body sizes. The solid spruce top helps define sonic nuances throughout the entire register of the instrument and showcases Washburn’s Comfort Arm Rest. Its full 25.5″ scale length extends an undeniable familiarity to the player and the satin finished, modern “C” profile of the mahogany neck has a smooth and cozy feeling in the hands. For live performance or in the studio, this Washburn Bella Tone Allure Elite comes equipped with a Barcus-Berry LX4 pickup system.

This is my 4th Washburn acoustic over the years. Three of them had the comfort armrest. It really does significantly make playing more comfortable. Love the body size and action great. Frets a bit rough on the edges but not bad. In it's price range you can't go wrong with this guitar. It's beautiful as well. Does sounds it's size. Pickup sounds pretty good as well. I have more guitars than I care to admit. This one holds its own in all ways. Played several hours before the purchase. Definitely the best in its price range in my opinion. Beat out the PRS, Breedlove, Martin, Yamaha and close to the Taylor academy in comfort and tone but actually had more volume.

Found this guitar on clearance at Guitar Center. The staff told me that they were phasing it out to bring in the new Washburns. Everything about this guitar is amazing and it was hard to put down. Even better than some of the higher end guitars. Would recommend to everyone. Great value.

  • Sweet guitar that's very comfortable to play

At first glance, I thought this Washburn Bella Tono Allure SC56S was a parlor or GS Mini size, but it's a full-size body with comfort in mind and a big sound. At about $450 it's well within the affordable spectrum. Features like a forearm bevel, maple binding, and fancy abalone inlay offer amenities associated with guitars several notches up the price ladder, plus a balanced and versatile voice.

  • Very worth it especially for the price

Great sound and feels very smooth to play. The size is great, it's not big and bulky to where it's uncomfortable to play. Beautiful details and sounds great in the amp. Considering it's not too expensive it's a great guitar overall that will last.

  • Very nice Guitar

What to say.... It's such a beautiful piece of art, that I almost don't care about anything else. The size is medium to small. Quality job, very, very nicely designed and worked out. Performance, Mediocrity level, as all other guitars in this price range. I have a Martin Dreadnought Junior(all solid) and this Washburn isn't coming close - the only reason why I didn't bought it on the spot. Well, honestly, there is no tool under 1500 to sound better than the Martin and until I realized it, smarter fellow got it.

I just love this guitar. I own Furch Yellow CR and Red Master Series. Best guitars you can get for the price and craftsmanship however too expensive to take to a camping trip or to play around a fire pit. I wanted to get something less expensive. I also owned a Taylor Academy 12e and Yamaha FG800 so I took them to my local Guitar Center for a trade-in. I didn't like the Taylor at all. Excellent playability but metal sound. No warmth to it. I wanted to look at Yamaha TS-TA or AC1M while Joey was doing the paperwork. To be honest I had a hard time to choose so while I was trying to make up my mind I ran into this Washburn. It looked beautiful and was on sale so I gave it a try. Boy I was surprised. I couldn't believe it and my mind was made. I left with the Washburn. About the guitar. The guitar looks beautiful. The images on the web don't do it justice. First I thought the action could be a tiny bit lower however after a week of playing I wouldn't change a thing on it. It has a rich but nicely balanced warm tone to it. Tuning stays in place and the beveled arm rest is another bonus. Sounds great through an amplifier too. There is no pick guard but that doesn't bother me since I play finger style and even when using a pick I am not digging into it. When looking for a mid price range guitar for up to $1000 check Washburn out. They may not be as known as Taylor, Martin, Gibson or Yamaha but you may be surprised what you can get for your money. I was and it was a lovely one. What can I say when I need another one I will check them out again.

The description mentions a fretboard inlay depicting birds and an island scene but the pictures do not show this. I know Washburn BELLA TONO ALLURE SC56S has this fretboard, but does this Bella Tono Allure Elite also have the island theme inlays?
