Washburn

collapse expand iconDescription

The Washburn Bella Tono Vite S9V Studio acoustic-electric guitar offers an elegant pairing of premium components and innovative design. Featuring a stylish high-gloss spruce top with figured walnut back and sides, the S9V produces full, balanced tone with tight bass, focused midrange, and shimmering highs. Its cutaway "studio" body provides the comfort of a smaller guitar with the robust sound of a full-size instrument. Powered by a Barcus Berry LX4 pickup system, the S9V also shines when amplified.

Stunning Exotic Wood Accents

One look at the S9V's ebony fretboard adorned with exotic wood vine inlays confirms this is no ordinary acoustic. Its polished okoume neck and satin-finished headstock give the S9V an upscale feel. Gold tuners, bridge pins and strap buttons provide an elegant finishing touch.

Premium Pickup for Natural Plugged-in Tone

The S9V features a Barcus Berry LX4 pickup system for excellent amplified performance. With an undersaddle piezo pickup and preamp with volume and tone controls, the LX4 captures the S9V's natural acoustic qualities and allows shaping of its tone when plugged in.

Modern Neck Profile for Comfortable Playability

With its satin-finished, modern C-shaped neck, 25.5" scale length, and 1.675" nut width, the S9V offers a familiar, comfortable playing feel for most guitarists. Its cutaway design also provides easy access to upper frets.

Out of the box the bridge is lifting. The neck has a 3/4 inch back bow that will not come out no matter the truss adjustment. Totally unplayable. Waiste of time and money. The worst Washburn I have ever seen. I've taken 2 back to guitar center. Both have the same issues.

Came across this guitar online and thought it just looked fantastic. I wanted something with a different look, so when I found one locally I took it home and now can't stop playing it. It's my favorite guitar right now. I bought a Taylor 110e around the same time that sounds a lot better, but I play this one more. I sometimes catch myself gazing over at it lovingly, cuz it's so cool-looking and unique. Aside from some of the frets being a little sharp at the edges, I have not encountered any of the negatives mentioned in some other reviews. Aside from the occasional tweak here or there, it stays in tune, like, forever. You could pay less for something that sounds better and more for something that doesn't, but if you're thinking about getting this one, I wouldn't hesitate.

I bought this guitar for my son in April thinking how lucky I was to even find one. It arrived on time and looked good. My son's lessons at school got canceled and we ended up waiting until September to start private lessons. Took guitar in to a local store where his teacher is based to have it looked over. Turned out the bridge was completely separating, just from sitting over the summer. I've not had it in the local guitar shop waiting to get completely fixed because they have now had to strip the bridge off and will need to refinish the top and clean glue and everything else. The most upsetting part was that they told me it's very clear that the bridge had been lifted off once already and then placed again rather messy. So... my new guitar wasn't new at all. Likely B-stock that they tried to fix and send out. So.... now its a $5-600 guitar with a history and I've never even heard my son strum it.

  • Sadly, very poor craftsmanship and quality control

After unpacking the box and before I'd even plucked one string, I found the guitar bellies around the sides of the bridge as though it had been through extreme temperature changes, also unable to handle the string tension. On top of that, the bridge is literally peeling off of the guitar. It also has a horribly unattractive rough saw cut all around the bridge and the bridge is cracked with scrapes and messy dried glue. How did this get past anyone and to my doorstep? It's extremely disappointing. Inexpensive or expensive, this guitars bridge situation is inexcusable. I purchased this as a Valentine's Day gift for my sweetie far in advance and it was back ordered, but told I'd get it in time. Then my order was canceled for no known reason and I had to order it again. It finally arrived late March. My sweetie and I were waiting and waiting, and to open the package and see this? It's as if people truly don't care anymore. We will be returning it after the weekend and most likely getting a refund and not an exchange.

I'm not an expert at the small details to what makes a fancy guitar, but this guitar is very visually appealing. Looks great, and plays great compared to other guitars I've tried while shopping around. Love it, and I'm gonna keep it as long as it works.

Is this considered a small body guitar? I bought it 2 years ago and I don't know what kind of case to get.

This guitar would work well with any standard dreadnought style acoustic guitar case.
