The solid top and quarter sawn, with scalloped sitka spruce bracing to help define note clarity throughout the entire register of the instrument. The attractive “Washburn Heritage” rosette, gloss finish Dreadnought body and choice Ovangkol for the bridge and fingerboard material add to its pleasing aesthetics.     Best sounding laminate Back and Sides I ever played. And I've played a lot of them. This guitar is right up there with the all solid wood ones . I play a Martin hd-28 . Best deal yet in lower priced guitars with no slack in quality or craftsmanship. It's got that clarity with the itch bass somewhere between a Martin and a Gibson
