The WCG15SCE12 is a Grand Auditorium-style acoustic/electric 12-string guitar with a Venetian cutaway for superior upper fret access. This body style, combined with the lushness of 12 strings, is perfect for those seeking full chime and jangle without muddiness. A highlight of the Comfort Series is the beveled top at the lower bout and, in the case of the WCG15SCE12, the bevel becomes part of the beautiful mahogany binding. The guitar features a book-matched solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany/maple bound body and headstock. The mahogany neck has an ovangkol fingerboard devoid of inlays and in tandem with the mahogany-bound ovangkol bridge adds an aura of understated elegance. A maple/mahogany/maple strip splits the book-matched mahogany back. The headstock features a pearl-inlaid Washburn logo and stylized W, as well as Washburn-branded die-cast tuners with ebonite buttons. The gorgeous rosette is made of alternating maple and mahogany.

The WCG15SCE12 is a fantastic sounding acoustic guitar on its own but the addition of premium Fishman electronics makes it an outstanding stage performance guitar. The Fisherman Presys+ is an integrated tuner/preamp system for versatile amplified tonal shaping.

    After receiving the guitar, I finally got it tuned as it wasn't from the factory. I have no idea how they can put an approval stamp on it when it wasn't even played. Some of the strings were tight. Others weren't even close to tight. The tuners were sticky, like something was put on them and never cleaned off. I was very disappointed with the playability of the guitar. I do not like the neck of this one. There is really nothing I like about this guitar. I have 11 other 12 string guitars, none of which was near this bad out of the box. This one is going back. I have always depended on reviews for my purchases. I would not recommend this one at all.

    I play in a group, the guitar has deep rich melodic sound. This is what I looked for when looking for my next purchase, I'm very pleased it.

    I'm a drummer so my tech savvy on guitars is zilch so please bear with me.... Is the battery compartment separate from the electronic box/well? My wife has been playing a 12 string Ovation for years, but to change out the battery you have to pull out the well/compartment. It has weak plastic push tabs to hold it in place and now one side has snapped off. Resulting in a connection problem. Thanks
