What do the tones of renowned guitarist, such as Page, EVH and Johnson, have in common? They all used the legendary echo machine EP-3 as a preamp. Xotic Effects has captured that magic in a this EP Booster boost pedal. Xotic Effects uses the highest-quality parts available with a discrete FET design and low-impedance output to ensure the EP Booster provides up to +20dB of unadulterated boost with multi-dimensional, shimmering highs and lows, and no ear fatigue. The internal DIP switches let you choose the boost frequencies, and EQ settings. Housed in a small 3.5"x 1.5" x 1.5" case with blue LED and transparent knob, the EP Booster can be powered by 9V up to 18V.

    This thing is solid!! It's got some weight to it, and the construction is high quality. I love that they made it a mini pedal with a single knob. It's a very simple "set and forget" kind of thing. It does have a couple of internal dip switches, but I found that the default setting (both dips on) sounded best for my rig. It's got a lot of gain on tap, and can be used as an overdrive pedal by itself, but it shines most when used sparingly, to color your tone a bit, and to boost your signal. It works great as an "always on" type of pedal too, just to sweeten things up, and to add a bit of character to your tone. You really can't go wrong with this little guy.

    You will not want to turn this pedal off.. setting inside will allow you to have the tone you want... GET IT
