After my last gig shlepping everything and breaking my back, I realized I just don't need my '90s heavy duty Yamaha stands that weigh 10 lbs. each. I took a gamble & bought one CS3 and went right back and ordered another. 3.3 pounds each, and perfect for me. #sweepstakes

As an very active gigging drummer, the crosstown hardware is one of the best investments I've made for myself! I added 2 more straight stands to my the full hardware package I already had.

  • Great for Reducing Weight when Gigging

Love this light weight Yamaha HW. Saves the back. My only complaint is it does scratch if not used w/ reasonable caution.

I use the Yamaha Crosstown Aluminum hardware on my gigs. I bought an additional straight cymbal stand. They work well for my classic rock/ pop gigs and save my back when transporting.

I wanted a light weight option to use with my Yamaha Hybrid Maple kit. I was tired of lugging my Single Brace Yamaha cymbal stands, DW9000 pedal & Hi-Hat stand in and out of gigs. I saw these aluminum stands and checked them out. Yamaha still uses carbon steel parts where needed and aluminum on all other pieces. 1st use was an outdoor gig on the 4th of July. two hours of heavy hitting classic rock and the stands all held up. I did open the legs of the stands a little more than normal. They stayed put! No Walking! I was concerned about the fragility of the aluminum... thus loaded them last. After four gigs, my back loves 'em

  • Lightweight- 3lbs but not good for heavy hitters

This stand got great reviews at NAMM. I bought one to try. It danced across the drum riser with a 18 inch crash. Tried it on a 20 inch ride and it was ok. Seems the cymbals don't ring as loud as a heavy duty stand. Love the concept, but I feel it only good for practice or small venues.
