collapse expand iconDescription

Delivering powerful low-end reinforcement in a compact enclosure designed for smaller performance spaces, the DXS15mkII band-pass-style active subwoofer gives your existing system the deep, rich bass your music deserves. A potent Class-D amplifier drives the 2.5" voice-coil magnet and 15" woofer for tight, accurate bass with exceptional clarity and up to 135dB SPL. The rugged wooden enclosure features LINE-X coating for protection against scratches and wear, ensuring it will withstand years of use while maintaining its professional appearance.

Crossover switching allows you to seamlessly match the DXS15mkII with any of Yamaha’s full-range powered speakers by selecting the cutoff frequency best suited to the models in their speaker array. Yamaha’s state-of-the-art DSP processing and protection functions mean the DXS15mkII performs at its peak under the most demanding conditions.

A unique feature of the DXS15mkII is its cardioid mode setting for PA setups with two or more matching subwoofers. Selecting cardioid mode function effectively decreases stage-side sound pressure while increasing the bottom-end output directed towards the audience. The result is a clearer onstage monitoring environment and a more pronounced bass experience out front.

I paired this with the Yamaha H8 studio monitors on stands. This definately adds low end bass to electronic music. I had a house party and everyone was loving and feeling the bass! It has a filter control on it so you can determine what frequency of bass to play. I put it at the middle, and then cut off the high ends on my H8's and it sounds great. Something I've discovered with choosing bigger speaker diameters is you get better low end consistent frequencies but the punch isn't as good so make sure you have some 8's or 10's to supplement the punch or if you just have this 15 the bass will sound all muddied and low. The case is made of a hard plastic so it's fairly light and maneuverable. Praise the bass gods!

I have 2 Yamaha DBR10s wall mounted. What is the best way to connect a Yamaha powered subwoofer? The Yamaha subwoofers show a L and R input. Can a single XLR running through the DBR10 pass through port connect to the L or R input on the subwoofer?

Would like to purchase this sub but only if i can pickup. i live in Orlando and i am willing to pickup at any central fl location. Buying it and paying for shipping is not worth it. Only saving $100.00 or so. Rather buy new and pickup.

This would work well as a sub woofer for the Yamaha DBR15.

Do I need a separate crossover for this subwoofer or is there a built-in crossover? I need to send the line signal from the whole band to the subwoofer and then have it be crossed over to like under 80 Hertz or something.

All crossover work is done within the subwoofer.
