Yamaha DXS18 18" Powered Subwoofer

Description
Crossover switching allows you to seamlessly match the DXS18 with any of Yamaha’s full-range powered speakers by selecting the cutoff frequency best suited to the models in their speaker array. Yamaha’s state-of-the-art DSP processing and protection functions mean the DXS18 performs at its peak under the most demanding conditions.
A unique feature of the DXS18 its cardioid mode setting for PA setups with two or more subwoofers. Selecting cardioid mode function effectively decreases stage-side sound pressure while increasing the bottom-end output directed toward the audience. The result is a clearer onstage monitoring environment and a more pronounced bass experience out front.

Love it, I'm running one DXS18 with two DBR12's, Hits HARD!

I purchased a single DXS18 and two DBR12's for home use because I like LOUD music. I recently supplied music for an event, even though I'm not a DJ, this was my first time hearing this setup outside, I cranked it up a bit and it literally sounded like a rock concert, you could feel the hard-hitting base from 50' away, I was blown away. The base is crisp, clear, tight, and hard hitting with all types of music. I can't help but notice sound systems at local events, and that I'm consistently disappointed at the quality of sound compared to that of my own.
