Absolutely the best lightweight hardware on the market.
As a guy that has to move my own gear, weight is a seriously important factor. I've shopped and purchased a few different brands of light weight drum hardware, and they all have issues with sturdiness and stability, until the Yamaha HW3 crosstown hardware came along. The GOOD: Not just lighter than standard level hardware.... MUCH MUCH MUCH lighter. And this stuff is WAY more solid than other low weight gear, and it does so while still being the lightest on the market (as far as my research shows). It's definitely lighter than the light weight DW and Ludwig offerings, both of which I have owned, and still own. The included hardware bag has plenty of room for a light duty throne including the seat, plus your floor tom tom legs and other bits you'll need to carry. The stands as supplied come in at just over 17 pounds and when adding my throne, tom tom legs and some other light cymbal holders the whole setup is right around 25 pounds. Compare that to my old setup of "light weight" Ludwig stands at around 55 pounds and the light weight DW hardware that was considerably less stable coming in at just over 40 pounds once my throne and legs are in the bag with them. The BAD: The HiHat stand lacks spring adjustability and the bass doesn't swivel for clearance of a double kick pedal. This doesn't have any effect on me because I don't use a double pedal, but if you do, you may find yourself not being happy with this stand. The lack of a spring isn't an issue for me, because the tension is exactly where I would set it, but for you it may be an issue if you like it tighter. Overall, this is the sturdiest AND the lightest hardware in its class, and while the price isn't low budget by any means, it's worth every penny and then some. I'm really glad I took the chance and made this purchase.

They are definitely lightweight and compact and have survived a couple shows, taken a beating and still seem fine. There is room in the carrying case for a kick pedal and a boom stand (not included), They look like they will snap in half and can be easily overtightened but neither happened.
Great Yamaha light-weighted gear at reasonable pricing!

This hardware pack is amazing. I'm old, fat, and tired, I used to dread lugging my hardware bag around. This pack is, without question, a gift from the metallurgy gods.
Wonderful product.

I've been gigging at least once a week and my hardware bag was really starting to kill my back. Just the thought of lifting it up into my truck at the end of the night filled me with dread. It's ridiculous how light these stands are.
Love the Yamaha Light Weight Hardware!
