  • Great clean little mixer

This is a great little mixer for a couple of mics and sources. Like a Dj set up or basic simple PA setup for small gatherings. The audio is clean and the unit is easy to use. My only con is that it doesn't have any bass and treble controls for the line inputs. Just my preference thoughts. I still give this MG06 5 stars for being a solid performer and very reliable. Mine has been dropped, banged up and spilled on. Yet, after cleanup it still rocks on. Not advising to let these things happen but it speaks to its construction and durability.

I use this mixer for my live DJ set up between my Rane mixer and active PAs. Give great head room.

This is a solid little unit, has a nice reverb. I use this for mixing vocal and guitar and sending it to two Roland Street amps. Works great. Yamaha makes good stuff.

This is the first mixer I ever bought. My perspective is somewhat limited to sub-par mixers for PA systems at rehearsal spaces and such. Most of the recording rigs I've used (8-tracks and Audio Interfaces) have had all of my mixing needs built-in. For those just entering that arena, this is a great place to start. I'm old school: a big fan of analog tech and sturdy construction, and this unit is built to withstand the apocalypse. Very portable and extremely durable. This would be great for a low-key/songwriter live rig, pod casts and/or a home studio setting.

Would this work to power a Yamaha BR15 800W 15 inch passive speaker? Also does this have a power cord that plugs into a wall outlet?

No, it won't. For that you need amplification. It requires a power supply

Yes these do have XLR balanced outputs. You can combine the two XLR's into one powered speaker.
