If you're a keyboard player who requires extra support for your energetic performances, you'll get rock-solid reliability in the PKBZ1 Z-style keyboard stand from Yamaha. The width and height adjustments on the versatile PKBZ1 are independent of each other, providing improved stability over a single-braced X-style stand. It's recommended for Yamaha PSR, PSR-E, DJX, and EZ series keyboards.

Great Stand!

I own a Yamaha PSR-E243. I originally bought A PROLINE200 because the rep said it was compatible and it was not. The proline model was very long and wide. The keyboard would slide around, This stand is perfect! You can adjust the height and width. It comes with 2 screws to screw in the keyboard to the stand from the bottom. The keyboard is super sturdy once screwed in. Just what I needed. Looks great. Its worth the money. I had to order it and have it shipped to the store they don't carry it in stock.

Didn't hold up with minimal use

Worked great while it lasted. I kept it mostly folded up and stored. Now after a year and a half, a few dozen times of use, a foot weld broke from simply opening it, no undue pressure. Also, there is no clasp to hold it together when it is folded. Opens while carrying.

Fantastic stand. I use it for multiple switching of keyboards in recording studio.

  • This item is different than all the other stands.

This item is different than all the other stands. It is very strong, adjustable, unique, and attractive. The other X-stands all have a cooking cutter look, while this one brings a new look and feel.

  • Very sturdy Z-stand; website photo & description outdated

This is a very nice value-for-money, heavy-duty Z stand that comfortably holds up to a full-size 88 key digital piano or keyboard. Note that the photo and description on this site are inaccurate - this product was refreshed about a couple of years ago. Check Yamaha's website for the correct photo (there's two horizontal support bars, most notably). The dimensions and weight rating have changed; from the box: H 24-32", W 21-33", D 16.5" and capacity 375 lbs. Assembly is very easy, and can be disassembled to original state without much trouble if needed. There were a few defects in the powder coat on the part I received, but metal wasn't exposed anywhere so I didn't bother exchanging.

  • Without a doubt the best for the money!

Bought for my daughter's new keyboard and now I need to get one myself to replace what I am using on my own. The stand I have has always been "sufficient" but it is also about 20 years old. This new stand is incredible! The was it can be folded up and moved, the ease of setup, the absolute stability! I can say I would buy it again because I am buying it again and would whole-heatedly recommend it!

I was looking for a new Piano stand for my Yamaha 115 since my previous one was extremely cheap (I figured stands don't matter get the cheapest) and woould constantly shift my piano to and fro, this has no issuse and is extremely sturdy with the grips included it is near impossible to budge it.

Is this stand compatible with the Kurzweil SP6 88 key keyboard?

Is this stand compatible with the Kurzweil SP6 88 key keyboard?

The Yamaha PKBZ1 Z-Style Keyboard Stand is not officially listed as compatible with the Kurzweil SP6 88-key keyboard, but here’s what you need to know to decide: Compatibility Considerations: Weight: The SP6 weighs about 27 lbs (12.25 kg) — well within the PKBZ1's weight capacity (which is rated for up to 100 lbs / 45 kg). Width: The SP6 is approximately 51.6 inches wide. The PKBZ1's adjustable width range is about 29.5" to 44.5", which is narrower than the SP6. This means: The stand won’t reach the outermost legs of the keyboard. The keyboard will overhang the stand, which can affect stability unless you're cautious. Bottom Line: Yes, it can physically support the SP6, but it's not an ideal fit in terms of width. The keyboard will sit securely as long as the weight is centered, but you may want to add non-slip pads or brackets to prevent shifting. For better fit and stability, consider a wider Z-style stand or an X-style stand with a wide platform,

Is the depth of 13.25 referring only to the keyboard shelf or also to the bottom? I don't have a lot of room where I am so I'm looking for a stand with a shallower base.
