collapse expand iconDescription

The PSR-EW310 is great choice for a starter keyboard, with 76 keys for the more serious piano beginner. Its USB to HOST audio and MIDI connectivity make it easy for you to expand the capabilities of your instrument by interfacing with creative or educational apps on your iOS device or computer. Eleven Super Articulation Lite Voices (SALite), inherited from the powerful PSR-S models, are now included. These give you even greater expressive, real-time control (e.g. String Scratches/Guitar Slide noise), adding to the realism of the Voice. The Super Articulation Lite Voices can be controlled with the "Art" button to intuitively reproduce the natural expressive nuances of non-keyboard instruments, allowing keyboard players to achieve realistic expression.

The AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) Dynamic Stereo Sampling engine recreates the realism of an acoustic instrument, reproducing its dynamic nuances by recording samples of various playing strengths. Smart Chord lets you play great-sounding chords from simple pop triads to complex jazz 7th chords with just a few fingers. Registration Memories allow you to save and recall panel settings like Voice, Song, Pattern and/or Style to quickly access your favorite configurations.

Onboard lesson functions help supplement regular piano lessons. Touch Tutor lesson mode tracks the velocity or strength the keys are played at in order to teach dynamics. Duo mode splits the keyboard into two halves, each with their own "middle C" for practicing with a partner. The Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S.) allows you to practice using the preset songs (or MIDI files on compatible instruments) at your own pace, one hand at a time, or both, together.

For fun, plug in your portable music player to the AUX input and use the melody suppressor to soften the lead vocal so you can sing and play along with your favorite tunes. The PSR-EW310 comes with a music rest and owner's manual.

Love it. Have not played piano in over 35 years and lost all the basic principles. This unit makes it fun and easy and one week later play close to proficiency. East touch keys and control panel make learning a breeze. Nice sound quality and super features too.

I purchased a Yamaha PSR series 76 key keyboard which came with a 1 year warranty and it didn't make it to the end of the warranty. The keys are cheap and extremely flimsy. One of the sharp keys broke will playing. Yamaha said to take it to their local service center for a warranty repair, but they refused to repair it because I didn't purchase it from them and I cant prove how it got broken. I called Yamahas warranty service and they suggested I try another service center 3 hours away in another state. I told them that was not an option and asked if they would just mail me a new replacement key and I would replace it myself . They agreed to do so, but I never received the part and never heard back from Yamaha. Yamaha's service was worse than their keyboard. I wish I would have spent a little more money and purchased a Kawai or Roland with better keys and service.

Bought to learn piano and singing as an adult. Easy to use, enjoyable sound. Buy the wall plug and foot pedal. Also, if you want to connect the keyboard to your computer or ipad order the required cord. And an adaptor to plugin headphones. 4 Stars only because these items weren't included with keyboard, nor was there a way to know that they needed to be ordered - or an optional package with these essential accessories, specifically the cords/headphone adaptor. A good keyboard to learn on with room to grow.

GC website says "everything you need", is misleading because this unit does not include a power cord. GC rep at store tried to sell me a $37 cord and upon recheck online the cord for this is only $19.99. Buyer be advised!
