Alternative bag to protect my Hammond SK1 73 fit is good but inner straps will not hold as they are to far apart to work with this board!?

We have two Yamaha digital pianos...one for the house and one for our travel trailer. It is such a joy to set up the piano in our trailer...playing at leisure while enjoying the outdoors. The piano padded carrying case exceeded my expectations. It is extremely durable and ensures the piano is protected.

  • YPG-235 Does Not Fit

I saw this bag online because it said Yamaha, and thinking this is a 76 key bag it would fit my YPG-235. Well I received the bag and to my surprise the bag did not fit. It looks well built and has a good pocket size on the side. Unfortunately I was not able to try it out completely. The Yamaha YPG-235 is to tall for the bag which does not allow the zippers to close completely. Now on the hunt for another bag. If someone can suggest one I would appreciate it. looking not to spend more than 60.00. I would have given it 5 stars if it would have fit, other than that it looks like a nice bag.

Yamaha calls this a "backpack gig bag," and supplies two straps and attaching rings so you can carry this thing on your back--remember, the keyboard it is designed for weighs only 12 pounds! The bag is made of super-high-quality material with heavy-duty zippers. The gray side compartment has separate compartments for sustain pedal, power supply, and cables. Besides the fact that it is designed for a perfect fit for the NP31, there is a Velcro strap at end (inside) to hold the keyboard securely in place. This gig bag is excellent from every standpoint, and most reasonably-priced, too!

On the tag, Yamaha calls this a backpack-style bag, and it can be just that. Designed specifically for the NP31, the bag and keyboard weigh a total of 16 pounds! Yamaha has provided two heavy-duty straps, complete with shoulder pads, which can be attached to any of the several D-rings on the bag. The bag fits the NP31 perfectly, with padding all around, and two Velcro straps at the ends of the keyboard, which hold it securely in place. There are even small pockets, inside the large gray side-pocket, designed to hold the power supply, sustain pedal, etc. The quality of the fabric, the zippers, and the workmanship are first-rate. And the lower price makes this bag a real value.

It will not. Front to back it's about 3" too long for this case.
