19" K CUSTOM HYBRID CHINA

Zildjian Drum Set Cymbals 101

How To Prevent Your Cymbals From Cracking

How To Clean Your Cymbals The Right Way

Description
The Hybrids combine an unlathed, brilliant finish on the inner half with the traditionally finished K Zildjian lathing on the outer half of the cymbal. This results in the possibility of 2 different sound dynamics depending where the cymbal is played. Additionally, the unlathed section helps to control the wash and sustain, rendering them ideal for recording and live situations.
The K Custom Hybrid China has a thinner design that lends it a broad, breathy quality but still abundantly projects due to the unlathed bell. It provides a unique musical statement that will challenge and inspire your artistic expressions.
Akira said, "Maximum versatility is the main idea with the Hybrid series. I worked with Zildjian to design a line of cymbals where brilliance and darkness co-exist. I think the sound we came up with sets the new standard for the 21st Century."

Best china I've ever played with. Beats any paiste or other zildjian china out there. Cuts through everything, and is great as a base cymbol for breakdowns.

I recently purchased this cymbal while comparing it to the sound effects chinese, which has a much trashier sound, which I love. The salesman suggested the hybrid and I tried and it and loved it immediately. Not near as trashy, but thats ok. The cymbal is beautiful, and cuts right through everything else on my kit. I have yet to see how it will hold up, but I purchased a two year warranty so I'm not too concerned.
