collapse expand iconDescription

As a leader in cymbal making, Zildjian is always looking for new and innovative ways to bring a better musical experience to the drumming community. The pack includes 13" hi-hats and a 14" crash, as well as a bonus 18" Low Volume crash ride cymbal. One area where drummers commonly express difficulty is lowering or dampening cymbal volume for practice and smaller gigs, or for the sake of close or sensitive neighbors. To really practice, it’s best to just play as you normally would, rather than ease up to cut volume. Zildjian has come up with an ideal solution—the Low Volume Family of cymbals, which includes this L80 Series LV348 Low Volume Cymbal Pack with a free 14" L80 Low Volume Ride.

Through tireless research and development, a specialized pattern was achieved to deliver the best of both worlds: musicality and lower volume. This innovative pattern is combined with a special proprietary alloy with a unique matte finish that enables the Low Volume cymbal to have fewer high frequencies and is up to 80% quieter than a traditional cymbal.

Quiet!

The perfect compliment to the Remo silent stroke mesh heads! I now have a practice kit both my daughter and I can play any time we want without driving my family (or the neighbors) crazy....

We just got two sets of these for the conservatory I teach at and I can not say how happy I am with the performance of these low volume cymbals. The only thing I would change is if budget allowed I would have preferred the larger set for a slight improvement in feel, however I don't believe the smaller cymbals in this pack diminishes the overall experience for the students. Couple these cymbals with the sound off pads on the drums and you will have a very effective practice or teaching rig.

Can you use this in an extremely small venue during a show? I am an amateur show player with my bandmates and we plan on doing a show at one of our friends house. My current cymbals i feel are too loud so would it work so its not too loud but my band mates able to hear?
