The perfect sticks . . . almost

I purchased these sticks to see if they really do give you a huge improvement on grip. Sure enough, it's actually difficult to drop these (even if you want to). The green dip creates an incredible non-slip surface that works so well, you'll get blisters if you don't loosen your grip! These sticks are made of maple, which makes them VERY light. This can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preference. It also makes playing at home a little quieter, but it's not a huge decrease in volume, so you could still use these at a gig if you wanted. The only downside to these great sticks is that they are rather flimsy. They will break much faster than your average hickory drum stick. I've already gone through four pairs, and they were awesome (my favorite drum sticks so far), but I can't keep buying a pricey stick model if it's going to break on me twice as fast. But if the price isn't an issue for you, it might be a good idea to buy these in bulk. I will note that I purchased the Super 7A, and these are probably the least durable out of all the models. 5B would obviously last a bit longer. All in all, great set of drum sticks. The only reason they don't get a fifth star is because of the low durability.

Nice looking but not durable

Loved the look. Gave it a try. about a total of 3 hours of playing later. Broken. I play rock music so wasn't the best choice for me. The 5b's lasted about 8 hours of playing but loved the look and how light they were

So I got this pair and another non dipped pair for my soon to be 3 year old nephew. He has a full size drum set and can already play a couple of different beats he learned from the church band his parents are in. I wanted something that would be a good fit for the size of his hands. I always liked the barker sticks when I played more often .

When you need to quiet things down, these are great sticks - very good balance and tone. Similar to the Ringo signature sticks, though a bit lighter.

Shorter, lighter stick when weight is not important for sound. Dipped grip helps prevent drops.
