This adapter is great for being able to control personal mixes. We bought the Zoom L-20 board to use for gigs and for recording when we run our own sound. The issue of not having a sound engineer is that it's difficult to control the volumes and EQs while playing. With this adapter, we can connect iPads to the board and each individually control our own monitor mixes. It's unfortunate that this connectivity requires the BTA component, it would just be a better value if the board included the connection ability as standard. The only real downside I've experienced so far has been that when you adjust levels via an iPad, the board does not have the capability to mechanically change as well. So if you adjust on the iPad, the minute you touch a physical fader on the sound board, the levels immediately adjust to the physical fader, even if it's significantly higher or lower than what you set on the iPad. I found it's best to set the Master levels physically on the board and use this adapter only for personal monitor mixes. That way you always know that if you're touching the board, you're adjusting the master. Also the app only is available on iPad. No iPhones and no android. Wish there was a phone version so not everyone is required to have an iPad. Overall happy with the purchase and have already gotten its value of use out of it. #sweepstakes
