I've used a variety of similar units, some with considerably higher price tags, but the ease of use, feature set and functionality made the dbx 260 a far better value. The expansive menu of functions and complete user selection of options makes the unit easily compatible with a broad range of system configurations. In comparison, the 260 replaces several individual devices commonly employed for overall system control, such as; graphic equalisers, compressor/limiters, crossovers and feedback suppression.

No. All you need is a signal going into it and it will work.
