The ddrum Pro Acoustic Snare Trigger is a special snare trigger with a separate sensor for the rim. The Snare Trigger can also be used on toms. The ddrum Pro Acoustic triggers feature a very sturdy mechanical housing, an XLR jack for safe connection to the sound module, and they can be mounted anywhere around the hoop, and features.

With their superb tracking ability, ddrum triggers set a new standard of drum trigger mechanics. With absolutely no adhesives required, the ddrum triggers clamp onto the sides of standard drum hoops.

The specially designed transducer is softly pressed against the drumhead. The advantages are obvious; you can change drum heads over and over without damaging the transducer, the metal casing protects the trigger from accidental drum hits and the ultra-light pressure of the transducer against the head prevents any "damping" effect.

    I bought a complete set of these years ago, after trying many brands. These were by far the best. I quit triggering and sold them. I recently had the need for a snare trigger, and bought this one.Perfect! Just as i remembered. I use it on a snare converted to mesh heads and it triggers flawlessly with a TD-3 and a DTXpress. It also works on my acoustic snare, with a minimum of muffling. DDrum brains have filters that can recognize the difference between an actual stick hit and any other vibration. Makes for excellent triggering. No other modules have that, so it takes a bit of work to get the settings correct. And the correct type/amount of muffling. A guy on the Oregon coast at K&K Sound invented the process, and it was part of their Trigmaster trigger interface. Plug the triggers in and then to the trigger inputs on the module. One adjustment, and the triggering was flawless. They showed it at a NAMM show, and ddrum saw it and stole the technology. K&K has since discontinued the device. It was amazing. But the ddrum triggers are the best.

    I'm pretty sure it won't. Yamaha is notorious for not working with other brands. From what I am seeing it will not.
