I used these on a Tama 5 piece kit, connected to an 'old' Alesis D4. Worked perfectly right out of the package, no sensitivity adjustment was needed (not at all expected). Highly recommended.

These things ROCK! The usual headaches brought on by amateur drummers have completely disappeared! Good drummers know how to play their kits, and as a result, their tracks sound great, no gating needed. However, not every session has a great drummer... Now, no more hours spent on each drum manually gating every hit because of sissy-hits. No more misfires from the gates themselves. I can just side-chain the recorded trigger tracks into the gates, AND the compressors. Instantly, an entire night of boredom just turned into a 30 second patch. Completely awesome. I don't know how these stand up in a live setting, or how well they work with a brain, but in the studio they will remain staples in my arsenal.

I used to make my own triggers because the ones at the music store really didn't work great. But then I found the Ddrum triggers and they are fantastic. Most of the other brands break if you hit them once, these feel soldit, and have an input jack on the trigger so you can unplug it with ease. Mine hasn't broken yet, and everything of mine breaks.

Do I need to buy cables in addition to the triggers and interface? If so, what would I need? Thanks!
