Bass Strings for Blues or Jazz

What are some good bass strings for playing blues or jazz?

We recommend flatwound bass strings for blues and jazz. They have a rolled-off high end and a smooth bottom that is very solid. If you really want to get a flat, upright bass sort of tone, you should go with some nylon wrapped flatwounds. They have absolutely no high end whatsoever and get as close to an upright bass sound as possible with a standard electric bass.
