Fender Neck Profiles

What is the difference in the neck shapes on Fender Guitars ("C", "U", "V")? Which is the most comfortable?

Fender makes several different shapes of necks for their guitars. Each has been given a letter that best describes the profile of the neck. A "C" neck will have a C-shaped profile. A "U" neck will have a U shape (somewhat fatter than a "C"). A "V" neck will be shaped like a V. Fender makes the different neck profiles to allow players to choose which profile is most comfortable to them. Just as some players prefer a "C" neck, others may find a "V" neck more comfortable. We recommend trying all the different shapes to see which is best for you.
