With a 10-piece layout, mesh heads and 440+ premium BFD sounds, the Nitro Max Expanded is built for expressive practice, creative performance and serious drummers who expect more from their kit.
Premium Mesh Drum Pad for Natural Feel
The 8" mesh tom pad offers a tunable surface and natural playing feel. Mesh heads are known for their quiet response—ideal for late-night practice or shared spaces. The single-zone pad delivers consistent feedback and lets you add smooth, dynamic fills with precision. Whether you're expanding your kit with a floor tom or dialing in unique samples, this pad responds with accurate tracking and effortless playability.
Chokeable Cymbal Pad for Versatile Expression
The included 10" chokeable cymbal pad gives your kit added range and expressive control. Perform natural choke effects, accent quick stops or explore dynamic cymbal articulations—all with a durable, responsive pad surface. The cymbal arm ensures stable mounting, while seamless integration with the Nitro Max module means you're up and playing fast with no guesswork.
Complete Mounting Hardware for Easy Setup
This expansion pack includes everything you need to install quickly and securely. The cymbal arm, L-rod tom mount and rack clamps are engineered for rock-solid support, keeping your pads locked in and performance-ready. Designed to match the Nitro Max kit's clean aesthetic, the hardware blends right in while giving you total stability and flexibility.
Durable Build for Long-Term Use
Both the drum and cymbal pads are built tough to handle regular use. The mesh pad holds up under heavy strikes, while the cymbal pad stays consistent through intense playing sessions. Sturdy mounting components and thoughtful construction ensure this expansion pack is roadworthy, session-ready and made to last.

Having the other cymbal pad alone brings a whole new dynamic. Adding another tom pad is a bonus on its own, especially when you play with setting different sounds, ie cowbell for example, really expands an already great drum set.

This works great for my surge mesh set. The clamps it comes with doesn't work on 1.5" racks. I was able to pry them open to get them to fit. But, I had to use other nuts and bolts to be able to tighten them. So for the nitro mesh sets I bet these are great! But for the surge or command sets, you have to work a little bit to get them to fit.
Would definitely buy again

Hi, is this compatible with the Alesis Nitro Pro?
The Alesis Nitro MAX Expansion Pack is primarily designed for the Nitro Max kit, but it can be used with the Nitro Pro kit with some considerations. Electronic Compatibility: The Nitro Pro module includes additional inputs labeled Tom 4 and Crash 2, allowing for the connection of extra pads like those in the Nitro MAX Expansion Pack. Mounting Hardware: The expansion pack's mounting hardware is tailored for the Nitro Max's rack system. Users have reported that while the pads function when connected to the Nitro Pro, the included hardware may not fit seamlessly due to differences in rack dimensions and configurations.submitted7 months ago

Is this compatible with the Alesis Nitro Max E-Kit | Drumeo Edition? If yes, is the cymbal more of a crash or ride sound? Thanks!
1) Yes, it is. 2) The sound is in the module, not the trigger.
