collapse expand iconDescription

The Alesis Nitro Max Expanded electronic drum kit carries a legacy heard across industrial rock, late-night grooves and arena stages. Artists like Trent Reznor, Rick Allen, Phil Collins and Questlove have relied on Alesis gear to craft some of music's most iconic moments—from the haunting pulse of Nine Inch Nails' Pretty Hate Machine to the thunderous fill in In the Air Tonight. With a 10-piece layout, ultra-quiet mesh heads and 440+ BFD sounds, the Nitro Max Expanded delivers pro-level features in a compact, stage-ready format.

Mesh Heads With a Natural Feel

Every pad on the Nitro Max Expanded features tightly woven mesh for a responsive, acoustic-like feel that plays great at any hour. A 10" dual-zone snare, four toms and full cymbal setup give you a familiar layout with expressive control. Whether you're in an apartment, studio or rehearsal space, the quiet response keeps your practice focused and neighbors happy.

Studio-Grade BFD Drum Samples Built In

The Nitro Max module is powered by 440+ premium BFD drum sounds—the same tech found in top-tier production studios. From vintage kits to modern punch, you can dial in your sound or build custom setups. USB connectivity lets you load new samples and shape your tone just like the artists who made Alesis part of their sound.

Bluetooth 5.0 for Cable-Free Jamming

With Bluetooth built in, it's easy to play along with tracks straight from your phone or tablet. Whether you're grooving to *Pour Some Sugar On Me* or shedding to *The Seed (2.0)*, you can stream your favorite songs and focus on timing, feel and expression—no aux cables needed.

Built to Play Hard Gig After Gig

The Nitro Max is built on a steel rack with rugged mesh heads and solid hardware that holds up under daily practice and live performance. Inspired by players who've pushed boundaries on stage and in the studio, it delivers reliable feel and dynamic response, session after session.

From First Grooves to Full Sets

Whether you're starting out or expanding your kit, the Nitro Max Expanded gives you the tools to grow. With built-in coaching features, USB/MIDI connectivity and an extra tom and cymbal for creative freedom, it's designed to evolve with your playing—and help shape your sound.

Are you able to attach a double kick to the bass trigger?

Are you able to attach a double kick to the bass trigger?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
Yes, you can use a double kick pedal if: You're using a standard mechanical double kick pedal with the single kick pad. You position both beaters to hit the single kick drum pad accurately. You accept some potential crosstalk or triggering issues at fast speeds or very tight beater spacing. Limitations to be aware of: Single zone kick pad: The Nitro Max only has one kick pad, so both beaters must hit the same surface, which can be cramped and affect playability at higher speeds. Trigger sensitivity: The module and pad may not register ultra-fast double bass strokes perfectly—some fast strokes might get dropped. Feel & rebound: Electronic kick pads usually feel different than acoustic bass drums, and playing speed may be affected depending on the pedal and pad response.

Does this package include the rack? I don't see anything stating that the rack is included. only the mounting hardware. I just want to make sure that the box will include everything needed to setup and start playing

The drum kits are listed by numbers. Knowing nothing about drums, I don't know what kit to select. Is there any description of what the number represents, in terms of drum kits? (Listed is classic and modern - but I don't know what this actually means). Is there a good generic starter drum kit to select, or is that the first one?

    1) The "numbers" are the number of preset kits. 2) It doesn't mean anything. Classic and modern would be the era of music. It's just a sales term. 3) This is a good starter.
