Works great, nice texture, sounds neat and clean when snare is tuned and muffled properly.

This is my first Focus-X snare head and I'm surprised at the tight sound it produces. I was skeptical that it would reduce the ring much, but was surprised. If you want more ring than it provides, just loosen the snare a bit and you'll get plenty. FYI - you can (almost) never over tighten a (top) snare head, so don't under do it!

This head is well worth it. The coating hasn't faded and chipped yet on mine. You should get this one if your confused. It is the best I've played on so far. I have used remo, evans, and a few other brands. this has been my favorite so far. I'm sure anyone who plays on this will recommend it for you.

I absolutely love Aquarian. Not only do they make great heads, but their customer service is top notch. This head does a great job of controlling overtones, something a lot of drummers want. Also, for Aquarian heads, you don't have to seat them, so that takes some work out of changing your heads, which is always a plus. If you are looking for new heads, try out Aquarian!
