The Modern Vintage single ply, 7mil, thin-weight drumhead, features a special coating that has the look, feel and warm sound of a calfskin head. The coating is slightly thicker and helps to slow the vibration of the head, which results in a lower, warmer tone with a softer feel and a classic vintage look.

These snare drum heads are suitable for any musical setting where warm tone and full resonance are welcome. These thin-weight heads are perfect for either Batter and Resonant heads. Modern Vintage heads make the drums look as good as they sound.

    I'm sure I've reviewed these in other sizes, but it bears repeating that these are the greatest heads ever made in the history of the world! Now, of course, that's just my opinion, but unlike a prominent current political statesman, this is not hyperbole...nor is it fake news...they are just fantastic heads. You get the great feel of a coated head, great stick definition/attack without that awful plastic sound you get from clear heads, these tune up incredibly easy, their durability is second to none, they are warm and controlled without being dull, allow you full expression of dynamics, and look great! What the h-e-double hockey sticks else do you want?
