I've been using the Super Kick II bass drum head (clear) for 20 years and didn't think a better bass drum head could exist. Until I tried the Super Kick 10. It sounds similar but I can hear the enhanced bottom end with additional thump. Pair with a Kickport and fasten your seatbelt!

I'm a touring drummer, so my kits gets used and abused ALOT throughout the year, I had started off using Evans EMAD2's moved to Aquarian super kick 2 which lasted a week MAX, to where I eventually settled with the Super kick 10 paired with one of their brands double kick pads. I've had the same head on for over a year and still sound good enough to play a show with, just to give an idea of the abuse they go through, I play at least 30-40 hours a week/ very hard hitting/ mostly metalcore/deathcore.

  • I buy this product consistently

I went through two head changes on my 20" Tama Starclassic B/B bass drum before I landed on the Aquarian Super-kick 10. I already had an Aquarian Regulator resonant, (which I'd put two 2" bass drum Holz in). Combining the Super-kick 10 and the Regulator really did the trick. My drum now sounds big, deep and has real punch. I know theses things aren't cheap, but if you are not happy with the way your bass drum sounds, (and you're tired of trying different tunings and messing around with all different types of muffling etc. etc. etc.) save up and replace the batter and resonant with these Aquarian heads. The difference will amaze you. This combo may not result in the same level of happiness if you play jazz or other lighter acoustic music, (but I haven't really tuned them up tight, so I'm not sure that they won't work for that as well). I've been using Aquarian heads on my toms for a while now and have nothing but good things to say about the brand and the quality that is built into their product line.

  • I will definitely stick with these.

I put this on a 20" Yamaha Birch Stage Custom right out of the box. I cut a whole in the factory Remo UK PS3 and added my kick pro inside against the resonant only. Both heads tuned very loose and man this sounds like a sub woofer in front of me. I can't wait to mic it up! Awesome head!
