The successor model of the previous AT-LP3 comes with beneficial upgrades, such as wireless compatibility with the high-quality Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio and Qualcomm aptX audio codecs, the AT-VM95C cartridge, which is compatible with any of Audio-Technica‘s VM95 Series replacement styli, detachable RCA output cables, and the external AC adapter, which handles the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis, reducing noise in the signal chain.

    The Cartridge Is a nice upgrade from the non-bluetooth model. The AT-VM95C has a conical stylus, but can be upgraded to elliptical. However, I would recommend you look at the Guitar Center Exclusive LP2X. This is nearly identical to the regular LP3X, but omits the rarely used Moving Coil switch option, but is otherwise identical to the LP3X. Moreover, the LP2X Is a comparative bargain at 199.99. One important difference, I failed to mention, the LP2X comes in gun metal gray. If you must have black or white, it's the LP3X.
