    This is a great mic for toms. I use the D2's on my toms, the D6 on my kick, the i5 on snare, with the ADX51's for overheads and hihat. They deliver a clean sound to my recording platform.

    I play drums at my church, and our director didn't want to spend a whole lot on drum mics, so he bought a couple of these babies. I was awestruck at how amazing these mics sounded, even the lowest bass tones could be clearly heard. I use one for the kick and one for a floor tom mic. These mics are downright amazing, I definitely recommend these for any musician.
