Most Versatile Drum Mic Mount Ever!

I've used just about every Mic Mount for drums out there, from CAD, to Shure, and even the LP Claw, and the D-Vice is by far the best one. I don't know why other people rated it so poorly, unless they just don't know how to use it. Unlike a lot of other microphone mounts, the D-Vice's have an adjustable height that gives you plenty of room to work with. You can even put one between two drums with the gooseneck extended higher, and use a condenser mic if you're short on mic inputs or cables. I've had 4 of these for quite some time now, and I use them every time I play out. They're easy to set-up, reliable, and save me a ton of stage room that would otherwise be taken up by a bunch of bulky boom stands. The D-Vice's Rock!!!

Unreliable, and Built to not work

This looks very sturdy, cool, and sleek. Don't be fooled! It is very cheap, and moves all over the place from vibrations. Just don't buy, cause it's a waste. Just buy a regular boom for 19.99 and you'll be set.

Easy to clip onto the drum rim. Adjustable to get the mic pointed correctly. They hold the mic's in place.

  • Works good for Toms, but would not use on a snare.

pretty good holder, I have 4 of them. They hold the D1-D4 mics great. but larger ones like the I5 or D6 is not a good fit. They just don't have enough staying power. When using them on a snare and playing rim shots it will cause the mount to slip out of place.

This product does fit most mics. Downfall is trying to attach them to your rim. It's extremely hard to attach easily, almost an unnecessary struggle. Though it is a product with great advantages, attachment is not one of them. That's the only thing that makes this product more of a hassle. I would recommend this but cannot for that reason.

You need this if you are mic'ing the snare for either top or bottom.

I clip this on the metal ring of my rope tuned djembe to mic the top surface. Much cleaner look on stage than a boom stand.
