We recently built an extended garage with an extra room built explicitly as a music studio (not a recording studio). In addition to playing drums, I use it to mix down recordings made elsewhere (typically live). Based on the detailed description of the product, I have to say they work outstandingly well. I have been able to strategically place tiles around the room without covering the walls, eliminating pretty much all slap echoes. The room is nice and live, and without annoying reverberations. Without having conducted detailed audio analysis, the drums sound comparable to playing in a large room or outdoors: crisp and clear. For mixing, I have placed the tiles behind the speakers and behind the main seating position and noticed a distinct improvement in clarity of playback. (I had tested specifically to listen for differences.) I also found that the recommended Foamtak spray adhesive worked wonderfully well, just as recommended. It will be necessary to give your studio a good "airing out" after mounting the tiles, as the adhesive odor will be reasonably strong.
