  • Not a Viola?

To the one who said this was "not a Viola, but a violin with viola strings", you probably purchased the undersized/child-size (likely 13in.) version of this product. The company DOES offer the full-size 16in. version. Though I doubt it is a quality instrument, I believe that with proper knowledge of how friction pegs work, you could get the strings to hold their tuning (for a time...). I have examined this and am considering purchasing one; thanks for the head-up in advance.

The construction is poor, the strings cannot maintain tension. After one month, we've given up on it. It is necessary to shell out the money for a real instrument.

  • Beware! "It's not a Viola" but a violin with viola Strings!

Beware!!! I purchased this online for my grandson. He took it to school and the music teacher says it's a violin with Viola strings. She was very disappointed. Nowhere in this ad does it mention this! I think it's a shame that people are scammed like this. I cannot get my money back because his initial were etched into a little metal piece on it. However, I will never buy from this company again! Shame on you for switching products and selling this as a Viola!!!
