Great look and sound with some operational gripes
A gorgeous looking system, that elevates the space. I got the white one just to stand out. Best sound I've experienced so far from a Home Theater System. Thanks to the trade-in offer, upgraded from 700 to Smart Ultra. Glad I got the Bass Module 700. I was skeptical after hearing reviews. Bose does need to catch up to the competition though. Why's there no 4K pass through. And why is the Bass module still 700 with no upgrades. And the satellite speakers, I guess they're at least a decade old now. This is my 3rd Bose home theatre system, going back 10+ years. Almost every system had one annoying issue, when TV goes to sleep for a long period of time, I have to do all the mumbo jumbo to get it working. Turn off, disconnect, reconnect all the nonsense. First few days it was very frustrating, a brand new system with the same problem since a decade ago. One morning, the light turned orange, not sure since long, stuck in an update mode. Had reset a couple of times. Then the flashing light from left to right. Internet was also not helpful either. For a system that costs you 2 grand, I'd ask Bose for more controlled and seamless firmware update, where user can choose from the app when to install with progress. Also failsafe where people complaining that they'd have to send theirs for service. It's not reassuring if this is the experience. And why does it take so long or be stuck, it's 2025 and still have issues without any clue. Thankfully, after a few reset attempts it worked and even the wake feature issue seems have gone. Haven't hit the wake issue since that firmware update. Bose needs to step up their game this aspect and take back the crown again in this space. I love the brand but at what cost ? Oh also, I ordered this Auralex Acoustics SubDude-II Subwoofer Acoustic Isolation Platform, which definitely improved the bass quality.

Not plug and play
I did buy this about a month ago and had/have issues getting the digital optical cable to work. I have an older Hitachi Plasma and the sound bar does not recognize the signal coming from it and I do not have a HDMI eArc connection. I did however talk with a Bose tech who was able to get it working through my Fire Stick, not ideal but working.

I've been on the phone 3 times with tech support and still having a different issue each time. There is no way this product just plugs in and is ready to go as advertised...no way.

The soundbar is good sounding but needs more volume and midrange. The Bose 700 sub that I purchased needs way more punch and low end bass.
Excellent System!

Love this home theater system! Amazing sound. This replaced a Bose Cinemate II system that still works. I also love playing music through the Dolby Atmos system!
