This was for my 12 year old niece, not me. She LOVES it. Her mom and I bought it for her and got a very good price for a good instrument.

  • I highly recommend this viola for anyone on a budget

I'm a (28 year old) first time viola player, and am so far very impressed with this instrument. After figuring out that cell phone tuners are not good for violas, I was able to get it tuned properly and practice without a hitch. I practice every day and have not had any issues. It stays in tune, the sound is great, the strings are fine, the case is light weight and good quality, and the bow is plenty good. I'm no expert, but I couldn't see how an instrument could be much better. Certainly not for the price! Honestly, I see myself keeping this viola for a lifetime of playing.

Deep rich sound after I replaced the strings with top brand strings and I also got a better bow. One could spend more money on a viola, but it would not improve the Sound.
