    Weekend warrior with ~10 years' experience using ProCo silent plugs. Bought both this Kill Switch and a new generation Evolution silent by ProCo at the same time for a bake-off. The D'addario was inconvenient for me: pressing the momentary switch to break the circuit takes good squeeze strength and gripping the cord just right for sufficient leverage without hurting your hand. Even if there's a learning curve that would deliver me to easy use, the cable jacket has only average handling characteristics. In contrast, I loved the PrCo Evolution silent plug, which was easy to use, and has a wonderfully pliable cable. I returned the D'Addario. No need so spend over $40 on this version of the technology.

    Very handy to have the kill-switch functionality. The cable is well-constructed, and I expect it to hold up for many years of use on the studio and on gigs.
