Planet Waves' gold-plated 1/4" straight instrument cable has near-perfect frequency response, double-insulated/double-shield coverage, and low triboelectric (handling noise). Very good quality cable

The planet waves cables are great cables. Although they are somewhat expensive, they have great sound and come with a lifetime warranty, where planet waves will replace a dead cable at no cost. Thus in essence, you are buying one cable for your lifetime. Really a good cable, buy some for great sound.

Don't be fooled

So much for the 'Lifetime Warranty'. I took my faulty Planet Waves cable back to Guitar Center for a replacement and was told "sorry but D'Addario won't reimburse us for these cables". Not only that but D'Addario's own web site says you have to have the original sales receipt to make a warranty claim. How many of you can lay your hands on the receipt after two days?

    I've had one of these in rotation for about 15 years and I've never had an issue with it. It's not quite as supple / easy to route as a Mogami gold, but for a more budget-friendly cable it has been great. I expected the rubber band that keeps the cable together to wear out but it's also still going strong.

    I ordered the Planet Waves 20' guitar cord in the "Clearance" sale. What I got was a cord that looked like someone had been gigging with it for a year before they returned it. The cable was ratty and most of the gold was rubbed off the connectors. When I took it back the store the manager basically said if you pay a low price, this is what you should expect. No, I expect what's advertised. "Clearance" does not mean "Used" in my book. Do their Clearance drumsticks arrive dented and chipped too? I got my money back, so no problem there but I recommend if you buy anything in their Clearance sale- don't order it online, see what you're buying first.
