Solid Stand

Bought this stand a few days ago to mic drums with. More than just being a "short" stand, it's pretty versatile as well, allowing me to not only mic a bass drum or snare bottom, but the boom telescopes long enough to let me mic floor toms as well as rack toms. It's a great option as I realize that my mic clips that mount on the drums themselves may be fine for live performance but contribute too much non-mechanical vibration for recording. I'm on my way to buy a few more of these today!

No Replacement Parts Available

I love this stand for it's low profile both onstage and in the studio. However two of my three stands have issues with the thumb screw insert on the boom, and are now useless. GC tells me they do not offer replacement parts and this is a disappointment. I've had the stands for about 15 years and treated them very well.

I bought this to use as a stand for my Roland Mobile Cube, it allows me to angle the mini amp. Really solid with some heft, this would also work well for mixing a bass drum etc.

the stand is well built, very useful for drums and (sitting) acoustic guitar applications, overall happy with it! Only wish the base could be a little smaller of a radius or adjustable in that way since it's a smaller stand it really doesn't have to be so wide but the sturdier the better I guess.

I have a bunch of these and through the years the thumb screws bust off and I've always taken them back to GC and was told these have a lifetime warranty and they hand me a new one with no questions asked. I know this because I have done this on multiple occasions. Apparently that is not the case anymore. I was just in the store and the half wit behind the counter told me I have to go to DR Pro's website and do returns and warranty work through the DR Pro company website directly but DR Pro does not have its own website. So where do I find replacement parts or how do I get a warranty replacement?

I'm a newbie at this....purchased two mic stands. I was surprised (because I'm new) there was no mic holder, which i have been used to on other stands. Also, the holders on other stands i had access to are not compatible with this stand. Is there a mic holder I can purchase for my two stands?

Musician's Gear Heavy-Duty Mic Clip and the Musician's Gear Clip-Type Microphone Holder would be good choices.
