I don't necessarily think that these are the best things since the doube bass pedal was invented but i can't think of a reason not to give 5 stars either. I replaced the standard dual sided DW beaters with the medium size felt beaters. I believe that they're a little lighter than my old beaters, and the felt has a little different feel, which lends to a warmer boomier bass drum sound. I'm hoping that they won't wear out the head as quickly too These beaters will come with a little adjustable weight which is pretty cool to mess around with They were expensive, and i don't know if they are that much better than the similar ones that Gibralter make, but i have a DW bass pedal and caved to the idea of keeping as much of my kit as few brands as possible. I recently upgraded my 3000 series DW double pedal, with these beaters and the delta 2 hinges. about $350 total invested in the pedal, and it is very nice indeed!

I love the feel and the sound of these old stile kickers. i use these on my 1963 gretsch kit with a 20 inch bass drum. perfect for that sise drum cause, they're not heavy like the traditonal beaters and they keep that traditional sound from way back then, with less attack. great sound great quality!
