New for 2023 EVH MIJ Series Signature Wolfgang | EVH Gear

Description
The EVH MIJ Series Signature Wolfgang is Eddie Van Halen's vision of the ultimate rock guitar. This stealthy ax starts with a lightweight basswood body and maple top chosen for resonance and sustain. The bolt-on quartersawn maple neck is reinforced with graphite for climate-resistant stability and carved to Eddie's precise specs, then finished in hand-rubbed satin urethane for a smooth, fast feel. The ebony fingerboard has a compound 12"-16" radius and 22 jumbo stainless-steel frets for effortless soloing across all strings.
High-Output Pickups Deliver Iconic EVH Tone
Direct-mounted EVH Wolfgang humbuckers—an alnico 2 in the bridge and alnico 3 in the neck—provide perfectly balanced output and attack. The bridge pickup delivers punchy articulation, endless sustain, and chunky rhythm tones, while the neck pickup produces creamy leads and cleans. A 3-way toggle lets you choose neck, bridge or both pickups.
Performance-Ready Parts for Dive Bombs and Drop D
An EVH-branded Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo and R2 nut keep the Wolfgang in tune through radical pitch changes and "dive bombs. The EVH D-Tuna lets you drop from standard to drop D tuning instantly. A kill switch creates rhythmic stutter effects, while EVH low-friction volume and high-friction tone pots provide smooth control.
Premium Appointments and Included Accessories
The Wolfgang Stealth Black comes with cream binding, black knurled control knobs, chrome strap buttons, and a black headstock. It includes an EVH hardshell case, strap, and "dog leash" eye-bolt clasps.
Made in Japan to Eddie's Strict Standards
Exclusively crafted in Japan to Eddie Van Halen's precise specs, the EVH MIJ Series Signature Wolfgang undergoes a painstaking build process to achieve its combination of tone, playability, and attitude. Each component is carefully selected and assembled by expert luthiers to meet Eddie's vision of the ultimate high-performance rock guitar.

I had a US EVH that I had to sell sadly. Finances improved since then. I've been looking on the used market since in hopes of finding another one. That is when EVH MIJ came out. It was always backordered though. I finally managed get the black one. I can tell you that the build, feel, and sound of the MIJ is identical to the US version. I would tell you to try one out...but these sell out as soon as it becomes available. Don't waste your money on the USA version. You'll thank me for it. Also, I have no issues with the outer strings slipping off the fretboard. I bend strings alot and often. I can tell you this is not an issue.
Top of the line EVH guitar does not disappoint.

I have always wanted this EVH model to add to the collection and finally pulled the trigger. It is by far the best EVH I own. Love it! No regrets.

The guitar looks and sounds outstanding…but the high e on my guitar kept slipping off the fretboard. Not good.. Had to return it. Maybe an isolated incident,? The cheapest model I tried at guitar center didn't have the same issue. It was no hassle returning it to guitar center. If you're considering buying just a heads up. Hope this helps someone. Also. One more comment. I'm not sure if I liked the Vintage frets. But I really didn't have it long enough to find out if I'd get used to them. I didn't have any problems bending notes which seems to be difficult according to.people's comments online.
