Matt Heafy Origins Les Paul Custom

Epiphone

collapse expand iconDescription

The left-handed Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins is the signature electric of the extraordinarily talented Trivium guitarist. It features a pair of custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups, each of which delivers three distinct tones. The alnico neck pickup provides a modern, active, high-output alnico humbucker sound; a crisp, clean and fluid neck humbucker sound; and a glassy, scooped, hi-fi single-coil sound. The ceramic bridge pickup offers a choice of modern, active, high-output ceramic humbucker tone; high-output, passive ceramic-humbucker tone; and a cutting, overwound single-coil tone. Push-pull volume and tone pots put all these incredible sounds right at your fingertips, making it easy to explore this guitar's expansive sonic palette. The maple-capped mahogany body offers modern weight relief for hours of comfortable play, and the mahogany neck has a fast-playing SpeedTaper D profile and a contoured heel for exceptional upper-fret access. Gold hardware, including locking Grover Rotomatic tuners with Tulip bottoms and classic Les Paul Custom cosmetics, give this lefty Matt Heafy Les Paul Origins electric a standout look on stage and off.

  • Not from Guitar Center -- just "wow"

I am going to pick up my Matt Heafy Less Paul Custom Origins Left-Handed (white) guitar in the morning from a guitar tech who has spent the last six hours working on getting this thing playable. I have tried to play in on stage but that lasted two songs; the guitar was shipped completely without any set up and a bridge that needs to be replace. I bought it before Thanksgiving, and given the holiday and family visits...I didn't realize just have bad of shape this thing is in. Beautiful looking guitar but unless you are ready to throw another $120-150 into after you take it out of the box, don't do it. Look at Sweetwater or your local dealer. Couldn't be more disappointed with the delivery...and in a position to continue to throw money at it -- but "wow" was this guitar a mess.
