EMAD 2

This is an awesome head. I had an aquarian superkick I, and I broke it, so i got the emad 2. Its perfect for me! Im into rock and metal (Led zep, Metallica, etc), so this gives me the perfect sound i want. deep, full, and no annoying ring. Get it! you'll be glad you did!

Use to love, now it's meh...

Use to love this head until I played a single ply head...so much more tone! Throw a patch on there and it's just as durable. I've gone single ply on all my drums now and they sound and feel SO MUCH better! No issues with durability, much easier to tune accurately, and sound better to me. Using Evans UV1's on my toms, stock DW Clear/Coated on kick, and Remo Ambassador on snare with my DW Performance set...best sound for me yet!

I put it on my 22" acrylic DW and it sounds mic'ed up. Good sub frequencies and packs a punch

How do we measure for this? Is it just across the clear part or is it from the outside of the outer black rim? Trying to replace this for my son, but have never ordered one before. Thank you!

You measure from the edge of the drum itself, the part that rests against the head.
