An outer ply of 5-mil film and an inner ply of 7.5-mil film, in combination with a 2-mil overtone control ring on the underside that "floats" with the head, eliminating excessive overtones and controlling sustain. Finally replacing my Aquarion Studio X heads on my late sixties Rodgers Drum kit that I keep in my studio. After the heads settled down, I was able to achieve the exact sound I was looking for and my drum have come alive again. I was concerned as I was moving from a very good sounding kit with the older heads, if could get the tone I was looking for, and these heads more than deliver.

  • I would buy this item again , nice deep tone to the Head.

The description says it comes with a free snare head. But you are charging $9 more than if we buy this without the "free" drum head. Why are you charging $9 for a "free" head.
