Great heads for Rock and Metal
I bought these heads after playing them on my drum teachers set. Upon playing these heads I was amazed at how great the sound quality was. I immediately went out and bought the Evans G2 fusion pack for my kit and when these babies tuned up man did they sound awesome! The heads are two ply so the sound is fat and a bit deeper which is perfect for playing rock and metal. I still play these heads and after months of use the barely show any wear which I think looks better than having tons of hit marks all over the head. I will always play evans G2's because the sound is great and the price doesnt leave a big dent in your wallet.

Not What I Expected
After years of hearing about Evans heads, I decided why not, and I bought the the 12, 13, 16 pack. I can say I'm going back to Remo coated Emperor heads. The ring and echo from Evans G2 heads are too much. I've tuned and retuned these heads to no avail, and this is with maple shells. I spot dampened the heads and still too much echo. Sorry, I'm just stating what I know. So, don't get mad if you love these Evans batter heads. I'm a drummer of 42 years and It's what's pleasing to the ear, and it's not pleasing to me. Wish I could exchange them, but for the price it was worth a try.

I am new to drumming so I went in to guitar center not knowing exactly what heads I was looking for. I was greeted with enthusiasm as soon as I walked in. After going over the options and what would fit my needs I ended up purchasing this Evans G2 Coated Drum Head Pack. I replaced my heads when I got home and I love the look of them and they sound great! Definitely would recommend this pack to anyone. #sweepstakes

I have these on my SJC and DW kits. They sound awesome, with a clean, clear tone. Easily tunable in a wide range as well. They have just the right balance between punch and warmth to suit a variety of musical styles.

These heads really bring out the full range sound of your kit. I also suggest the Evan's resonator heads for an all around inexpensive yet dramatic upgrade. A++

I'd been unhappy with my Tom drum tone lately. The three pack is a deal and the G2 heads sounded amazing. Excellent response and a nice deep tone.

Looking to swap factory heads out for a cleaner, less resonating head. My kt is in a 10 x 12 carpeted room. How do you think these would fair?
The G2 would be very good ------------ "cleaner, less resonating " I'd go with the Fusion.submitted4 years ago

We purchased a used set of ddrums junior for my grand son they need new skin from the abuse they received from the previous owner. The sizes are as follows 10X13 floor Tom, 5X10 rak Tom, 4X12 snare, 5X8 rack Tom, and 10X16 bass.. my question is what kind of skins to purchase for a beginner Thank you in advance
It really is down to personal preference, but since they are beginner, it would probably be a lot easier to get the best fit for your needs if you give us a call at 866-498-7882 and we can get you set up.submitted5 years ago
